MapsKrieg is a Web 2.0 style mashup of CraigsList and Google Maps. It provides an interface to view Craigslist apartment listings visually using the Google Maps API. MapsKrieg only supports the cities that have apartment listing on Craigslist. If a new city is added to Craigslist and it isn't on MapsKrieg yet, contact us and we'll add it ASAP.
MapsKrieg was created by Hung Truong. He wanted to see Craigslist apartment listings on a Google Map, but the already existing mashup, HousingMaps, didn't have apartment listings for Ann Arbor, MI. So he decided to make a new one. MapsKrieg is based loosely on HousingMaps, which deserves a lot of credit for making Web 2.0 mashups popular in the first place, FYI. But please think of it more as an homage/extension, rather than a ripoff.
